-I was born on October 3, 1788 and was a mexican politician.
-In 1807, I married to Teresa Correa y Correa and had 3 children, but later, my wife died in 1831. That same year, I married Emily West and also had 3 children.
-I had a book called "Journey to the United States" written in spanish was published in France in 1831. It was later translated into English and published in 1987.
-A leader of the Federalist Party, I serverd in the Sebate and Chamber of Deputies and took active part in establishing American York Rite Freemasonry in Mexico.
-When I returned to New York City, I sought interest Americans in the empresario grants I had recieve in 1829.
-After spending several months during 1831 in France and England, I decided to live in New York City until I return to Mexico in 1832.
-From December 1832 until October 1833, I again served as governor of the state of Mexico.
-I at first advocated the cause of Mexican Federalism, but later became a supporter of the Indepedence movement.
-Leislative, executive, and diplomatic experience uniquely qualified me to help draft the constitution of the the Republic of Texas.
-I rejoin my family at Zavala Point on Buffalo Bayou, from where we fled to Galveston Island as Santa Anna's army approached.
-After the Battle of San Jacinto, in accordance with the Treaties of Velasco, I was appointed one of the peace commissioners to accomapany Santa Anna to Mexico City.
-Shorty therefore, I returned to my home in failing health and gave up my part in the affairs of government.
-While boating, my rowboat overturned in Buffalo Bayou and I contracted pneumonia and died at home on November 15, 1836.
